Lou Daniels for First Selectman

I write in support of Lou Daniels for First Selectman. He brings to the position strong management skills and a heavy financial background. He served for many years as Chairman of the Recreational Commission, where he developed a plan and recommendations for repair and maintenance of our existing athletic fields and facilities and the construction of additional fields to serve our growing population. When he was elected to the Board of Selectmen ten years ago, he carried forward his recreation plans and recommendations and made them a high priority. The new athletic fields on the Mills property brought this plan to fruition.
When the library and community center were built, he pressed hard for the selectmen to establish the position of Senior Coordinator to plan and coordinate programs, trips and activities for senior citizens.
Lou seeks to expand the tax base with office and commercial development in keeping with the present development of town. He is a diligent worker who will serve us well.
