Exercise Your "Write" to Vote
By Ken Buckbee, Torrington
Hello. My name is Ken Buckbee, and I am a candidate for Constable for the City of Torrington. I am not affiliated with any political party. I have resided in Torrington for the past 14 years. My son, Ian, is enrolled at Torrington Middle School.
I am employed in Torrington at the McCall Foundation. I am presently a Justice of the Peace for the City of Torrington; a member of the Torrington Neighborhood Crimewatch Board of Directors; Captain of Crimewatch Sector #7; and Captain of Blockwatch #17.
Currently I am the President of the Gov. Oliver Wolcott, Sr. Branch of the Sons of the American Revolution, and Senior Society President of the Charles Merriman Society of the Children of the American Revolution. I have served as a head deacon and church youth group adviser.
I am asking that you "exercise your write" to vote—that is, go to the polls on November 6 and, if you would like to vote for me, take a moment to WRITE IN your vote. This is where the "exercise" comes in. You will have to push up the write-in slide that has the same number as the office of Constable. On the paper under the slide, write my name, Kenneth A. Buckbee. (Note: You will not be able to push up the write-in slide if you have already voted for the full number of candidates for that office).
Please consider voting for me on November 6. Thank you.
