University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Ave. in West Hartford presents David Buskin, George Wurzbach and Rob Carlson, the well known songwriters of MODERN MAN on Friday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. Buskin's tunes are enjoyed by a huge audience, as he has filled the airwaves with numerous jingles. Brooklyn native Wurzbach grew up listening to all styles of music, and has performed as a sideman for Johnny Cash, Mel Torme and Kathy Mattea. Carlson is a writer, producer and performer and has a wide reputation as a composer of song parodies for the American Comedy Network. Tickets are $15; proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity. Hartford Symphony Orchestra presents RACH, RAVEL & E-CELLO on Friday and Saturday, November 16-17 at 8 p.m. at the Bushnell, 166 Capitol Ave. in Hartford. HSO Principal Cellist Jeffrey Krieger will plug in to perform his own electronic cello composition, "Videocello," a unique, improvisational, multimedia presentation. First Church of Winsted, 95 Park Place in Winsted presents A CONCERT FOR THE FOUR SEASONS on Saturday, November 17 at 7 p.m. The show features the Laurel City Singers, a community based choir; and Immersed in Faith, a youth-oriented gospel-rock group. This concert of light-hearted music will get your toes tapping, your hands clapping, and raise your spirits high.
