Goshen Running Club sponsors the 24th annual GOSHEN TURKEY TROT on Thursday, November 22 at 10 a.m. at the Goshen Fairgrounds, Route 63 in Goshen. The race covers a scenic hilly course over mostly dirt roads, which returns to the fairgrounds after completing 6.2 miles. The event will be held rain, snow or sunshine. Entries are limited to 300, and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. The pre-race fee is $10 and includes a t-shirt for the first 200 entries; race day registration is $15. Entry forms are available at Village Market, Goshen Recreation Office and Goshen Wine & Spirits. Volunteers will be needed for race day. For more info call 860-491-2078, or 860-491-3441.
Canton Parks and Recreation offers its AFTER SCHOOL SKI BUS program for students in grades 4-12 on Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting January 2 and running for six weeks. For more info or if you are interested in chaperoning, call 860-693-5808.
