Thirty-six women gathered at the Goshen Congregational Church on Saturday, November 10 to work on their photo albums and preserve their family legacy and history. The "Crop" event was organized by Monica Pirotta of Goshen, an avid scrapbooker, who was looking for a place close to home where family, friends and co-workers could get together and indulge in their passion.
For those new to scrapbooking, a beginner's class was taught by Simone Ruf, a Creative Memories consultant from New Hartford. There are more than 45,000 consultants worldwide teaching beginner and advanced classes, mostly in people's homes. In return, the class coordinator earns exclusive and free products for inviting her friends and family to attend.
Amy Corey, a Stampin' Up demonstrator, was also present. Stampin' Up teaches in-home workshops where attendees learn basic and advanced techniques for their stamps, which can be used in making cards, crafts, scrapbook pages, etc.
The name "Crop" comes from the attendees cropping their pictures, etc. The next Crop is scheduled for Saturday, January 19 from noon to midnight. For more info call Monica Pirotta at 491-4993, Simone Ruf at 379-8613, or Amy Corey at 491-2462. | | (L-R) Karen Hubball of Morris, Megan Montagano of Watertown, and Kristen Arnold of Goshen were among the enthusiasts who gathered at the Church of Christ on November 10.
