My Christmas Wish
By Arlene Ascenzo, Torrington
My Christmas wish is that every boy and girl receives a toy of his or her choice.
I wish for all mankind to come together as one and united under one God.
I wish for the sick to be healed and miraculous powers from Jesus to bring health and good fortune to all.
I wish for families to come together on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to exchange presents, as did the wise men who brought gifts to the newborn infant Jesus.
I wish a candle to be lit in every church for both the living and deceased in memory of and for special purposes.
I wish good food for all on Christmas Day.
I wish people to remember the true meaning of Christmas—that the Son of God was born in a manger to bring salvation to the people.
I wish blessings all of good nature for every human being.
I wish a star be put on every Christmas tree as a symbol of hope, love and joy.
I wish that for just one moment every person takes just a little time out to be thankful for what they do have that is positive in their lives.
I wish all to have joy in their hearts and minds at this special time of year.
I wish all to celebrate and be happy this holiday season.
I wish for peace for all this Christmas.
As the song "White Christmas" goes, my wish is that your Christmas be "merry and bright."
My wish is that you have a Christmas that sparkles and gives you a warm glow that lasts into the New Year.
