Chinese Peacocks and Farmers
By Emma Peterson, Norfolk
On March 27 the Chinese Folk Dance Company performed at the Norfolk Library. The costumes were beautiful. In China silk is cheap, and that’s why the Chinese farmers had silk fans.
The dancers were playing peacocks and farmers, and the performance made me feel like I was the person the dancers were acting out. Their hands moved more than their hair.
I learned a Chinese word, how, which means "good."
