BANTAM: Veteran of the Month services will be conducted at 10 a.m. by American Legion Tyler-Seward-Kubish Post 44 at the All Wars Memorial on Route 202. This months ceremony will honor World War II and Korean War veteran Joseph S. Altieri of Torrington. Mr. Altieri passed away on December 24, 2000. SALISBURY: Taconic Learning Center holds its annual meeting at 3 p.m. at the Salisbury Congregational Church. The adult education organization's 2001-02 academic year will be reviewed and 2002 fall semester courses will be previewed. The Nominating Committee will present candidates Marilyn Barry, Laura Hawks Flores, Eric Gerstel, William DeVoti and Norman Sills for election to three-year terms on the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee also will present a slate of officers for approval by the Board of Directors.

SALISBURY: Berkshire United Soccer Club and the Salisbury Lions Club hold a pre-Fathers Day Car Wash from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Lakeville Hose Company; cost is $5 per car. Proceeds support the scholarship program and the purchase of equipment and related expenses for the Soccer Club, which provides spring and fall regional soccer teams for local youths (ages 6-18).
