Send a Message — Vote Yes

Citizens should vote YES to lower property taxes in Winsted. Your homes, lake cottages, cars, trucks and businesses will be seriously at risk for higher taxes if the Republican selectmen of Winsted have their way.
This is a year to hold the line on spending. Winsted has lost numerous jobs as factories have moved out of town. The loss of these jobs means that our neighbors and friends no longer have incomes that they can count on to pay their bills. It also means that other businesses in town have lost income, some significantly.
I did not support the previously proposed Winsted Republican selectmen’s budget, which would have increased taxes 10%—and neither of the majority of taxpayers, as it was voted down by a margin of 3:1 in the last referendum.
It’s your money and your town—send a message! Vote on Saturday, July 20 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. at Pearson School. Thank you.
