Local AIDS Project to Air Weekly Radio Show
Can you get AIDS from a mosquito bite? What and how much should you tell your children about AIDS? Is AIDS prevention being taught in your child's classroom? If you or someone you know has AIDS, can you get help?
You can find out the answers to these questions and more by listening to AIDS Scope, a weekly radio show on WAPJ 89.9 FM, Torrington's community service radio station. The first show will air on Wednesday, August 7 and will be a history lesson of sorts filled with interesting tales of how the AIDS Project was founded.
Gina D'Angelo, Education Coordinator for the Northwestern CT AIDS Project (NCAP), will host the show, which will air Wednesdays from 2-2:30 p.m. AIDS Scope will feature news briefs and interviews with guests on various topics relating to HIV/AIDS.
For more info call Gina D'Angelo of NCAP in Torrington at 860-482-1596.
