Canton High School Alumni Weekend

Canton High School will hold its first Alumni Weekend Parade on Friday, October 18 at 5 p.m. starting at the Mills Pond Recreation Area. The parade will include the Canton High School Drum Line, Canton High School Freshman Class Float, Canton High School Sophomore Class Float, Canton High School Junior Class Float, Canton High School Senior Class Float, Canton Junior High School Float, Canton Intermediate School Float, Cherry Brook Float, Alumni Float, Canton Fire Department, and Canton Police Department. The parade is a Canton community event. If your group or organization would like to build a float or march in the parade, call Assistant Principal Jordan E. Grossman at 693-7707.

The first annual Wall of Fame Banquet will be held on Friday, October 18 at 8 p.m. in the gymnasium at Canton High School. The following individuals, each of whom has shown a combination of scholarship and leadership in either their community or their workplace, will be honored: Donald Viering, Class of 1938; Henry Bahre, Class of 1947; Dr. Edward Diters, Class of 1941 (deceased); Nancy Grace, Class of 1976; Kathleen Rooney, Class of 1989; Phil Pinton, Class of 1980; and Ray Bergeron, Class of 1941. Seating for the banquet—which is free for alumni, with a nominal charge for guests—is available on a first-order basis; for reservations call Assistant Principal Grossman or Joni Bahre at 693-7707.
