The "Big Picture" Approach to ADHD
When people talk about children and the treatment of ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, what learning disabilities and behavioral problems are really being discussed? Dr. Robert Reynolds, a clinical psychologist, will discuss the "big picture" approach to ADHD during a program in the Community Room at the Oliver Wolcott Library, 160 South St. in Litchfield on Saturday, September 21 from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
Dr. Reynolds has recognized a need for more comprehensive diagnosis and treatment without medication of this multi-faceted condition. From an educational point of view, recognizing and analyzing the complexities of ADHD is enormously important, as is determining what information will help teachers and parents instruct children with ADHD more appropriately. The latest techniques for diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, including EEG neurofeedback, will be highlighted during the program.
The program is free and recommended for parents and educators; for more info call 860-567-8030.
