MORRIS: A family-style Roast Beef Dinner to benefit the Morris Congregational Church will be served from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Morris Community Hall on Route 109. The all-you-can-eat menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, salad, vegetable, rolls, beverage, and homemade desserts. GOSHEN: Goshen Garden Club meets at noon in the Meeting Hall of Church of Christ Congregational, Routes 7 & 63. A mini-luncheon will be followed by the business meeting a 1 p.m., after which Gretchen Collins will speak. Gretchen is an accredited flower show judge who is currently Connecticut’s Judges’ Council Chairperson and a member of Creative Arrangers of Connecticut. She will lecture on design, and will create four to five designs as she speaks.

WINSTED: The Guidance Dept. at Isabelle M. Pearson Middle School will distribute Interim Progress Reports for all students in grades 6-8. Parents are asked to sign the progress reports and return them to the child’s homeroom teacher; for more info call 379-7588.

BANTAM: Veteran of the Month services will be conducted at 10 a.m. by American Legion Tyler-Seward-Kubish Post 44 at the All Wars Memorial on Route 202. TORRINGTON: Torringford Volunteer Fire Dept. and WZBG Radio sponsor a Food Drive to benefit the F.I.S.H. organization from 9 a.m.-noon at Price Chopper. All non-perishable food items are requested, especially pastas, tomato sauce, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, soups, tuna, cereal, etc. The need is extreme, so please do all you can to help us help others in the Torrington area.
