Open Studio Tour in Granby

Take the New England fall foliage at its peak, throw in the rolling hills of Granby, and add the artwork of many of Granby’s finest artists and you’ve got the makings of a truly colorful adventure!

On Sunday, October 13 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., the Granby Artists’ Association invites you to travel our rich landscape and explore the studios of area artists. The open studio tour will take you to many locations where you can appreciate a wide range of media including ceramics, watercolors, oils, calligraphy, collage, and fiber art. Artists will welcome you to their work environment where exhibited work will be available for viewing and purchase.

You may begin your tour by picking up a map at J. Vallee Brunelle Fine Art and Framing at Granby Village Shops, 10 Hartford Ave. (Route 189) in Granby; maps will also be available at each of the studio locations. Then you’re off to check out the wealth of talented artists who have made their homes in Granby, including Laura Eden, Sally Sargent Markey, Sally E. Melrose, Bill Simpson, Diane F. Loffmin, Maggie Burnett, Avis Cherichetti, Dorothy Dumond, Rosemarie Mendes, Debby Reelitz-Bell, Mollie Megaffin and Margery Vanderbilt. Your drive will take you down beautiful country roads where the fall foliage will be sure to please and the range of artistic expression will offer you a memorable journey.

For more info call Joanne Vallee Brunelle at 860-844-0277, or Debby Reelitz-Bell at 860-413-9041. The tour will be held rain or shine.
