Thanksgiving Food Drive
WQQQ radio in Lakeville is spearheading a Thanksgiving food drive again this year. For the past five years, the food drive has provided hundreds of area families with a Thanksgiving dinner. Individuals have donated food and checks to purchase turkeys; food distributors have joined in by donating dry goods.
The goal this year is to provide 400 Thanksgiving dinners with all the fixings. The food will be distributed by local food banks in Sharon, Lakeville, Salisbury, Canaan, Amenia, Copake, Dover and Millerton.
Check donations in the amount of $13 can be sent to: Q103 Food Drive, PO Box 446, Lakeville, CT 06039; all checks will go toward the purchase of turkeys. Non-perishable foods can be dropped off at WQQQ, 7 Ethan Allen St. in Lakeville on Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.-2 p.m., as well as at Millerton Card & Coin, Casual Cuts and Manetamers in Wassaic, and Uncle Vinnie’s Italian Deli in Canaan.
