Respectfully Asking for Your Vote
By Michael F. Magistrali

Michael F. Magistrali is Judge of Probate for Torrington and Goshen.

With election day just around the corner, I’d like to take this opportunity to greet the voters of Torrington and Goshen and ask for their support on November 5. For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Probate Judge for the Torrington District. During that time, I’ve worked to make the Court as user-friendly as possible, by hiring knowledgeable, friendly clerks who are eager to help and by keeping the Court open through the lunch hour to make it more accessible for more people. I’ve also reached out to the community to educate people about the work done by the Probate Court, by speaking before numerous organizations and sponsoring programs at the Sullivan Senior Center. Most importantly, I’ve worked hard to serve you as best I could as your Probate Judge.

After a court visit this past July, the Chief Counsel for the Probate Administrator, who oversees the operation of all the probate courts in the state, wrote in her report that: "The Judge and staff make every effort to serve the people of the district in a timely and efficient manner. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. The court is exceptionally well run and well organized. The people of Torrington and Goshen are well served by the Judge and the staff of this court."

I would like very much to continue serving you, and respectfully ask for your vote on November 5. Thank you.
