Charles Merriman Society News
The Charles Merriman Society, Children of the American Revolution collected over 100 stuffed toys, coloring books, crayons, books, stickers, pencils, and bags of candy at their annual holiday luncheon held at Candlewood Valley Country Club. The donated items were presented to Kids Kuts in New Milford for the 17th annual toy and food drive sponsored by Greater New Milford businesses.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Lori Fitch of Lily’s Florist, the Society helped to brighten the lives of the seniors at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Milford. The children created 30 centerpieces for the seniors to enjoy in the dining room for the holidays.
