Your Money Advocates on WAPJ
Two of the most important things that you were never taught in school are how to raise children and how to handle finances. Luckily, there is now help with the latter. Tune in every Thursday from 3-4 p.m. on WAPJ 89.9 FM in Torrington for Your Money Advocates, a financial talk show hosted by Mike Chadwick and Fran King.
The show has a three-part format. It opens with current financial topics, shifts to a continuing educational and informational segment, and closes with live call-in questions. The questions can be anything that’s important to you about money. There will be guests on the show who are experts in areas such as Medicare, Social Security, elder law, estate planning, taxation, wills and trusts, etc.
Let’s face it: money is a tool for just about everything you want and need, but you may fear it and not truly understand it because money does not come with instructions. The show is delivered in plain English so that everyone can understand financial concepts. You will not need a law degree or an MBA to understand the show and master your finances. Learning how to identify misinformation, confusion, fear and marketing hype will allow you to make informed money decisions. Then you’ll be able to get what you really want out of your finances.
You likely have a little voice inside of you that you typically ignore. It says: "I’m falling behind and the clock is ticking," or "I should be doing something about … retirement … college …" or "I’m not comfortable where I am." Listening to the show will help you to make conscious, responsible financial decisions and put the voice to sleep. Doing nothing may be the most expensive decision you never made.
Unlike the other experts and financial institutions that want you to believe that finance is so complicated you cannot possibly do it without them, Mike and Fran will dissolve the myths that the financial institutions have marketed. You can now learn what you should be doing based on your socio-economic status as well as your plans, hopes and dreams. You can call 860-489-9033 with questions.
