New Website for Northwest YMCA
Northwest YMCA in Torrington and Winsted has launched a website, <www.northwestctymca.org>.
The online address offers Northwest YMCA members and potential members 24-hour-a-day access to schedules, rates, special events, staff e-mail addresses, news, website specials, employment opportunities and more. People can read about Northwest YMCA’s third branch being built in Canaan at the new Geer Assisted Living Facility and take a survey on what programs they would like to see at that branch. The website will also post league standings and schedules for men's basketball, racquetball and volleyball, and the Lasers swim team. There are also links to other sites that are related to Northwest YMCA programs or equipment.
The website was created and is maintained by Rick Coutant, a YMCA employee at the Winsted branch. "We are very excited about how the website turned out and we certainly are open to suggestions on making it more useful," says Coutant.
