Representative Ferrari Appointed Assistant Minority Leader
State Representative Richard F. Ferrari of the 62nd District has been reappointed as an Assistant House Minority Leader and appointed as Ranking Member (Republican leader) on the General Assembly’s Internship Committee. He was also appointed to the Energy and Technology Committee, a panel he served on in the past, and was also reappointed to the Finance and General Law Committees.
The Finance Committee is responsible for all matters relating to finance, revenues, capital bonding and taxation. The General Law Committee is responsible for all matters relating to fair trade and sales practices, consumer protection, and occupational licensing, mobile homes and alcoholic beverages. The Energy and Technology Committee is responsible for all matters relating to the Department of Public Utility Control as well as energy issues and matters relating to telecommunications and information systems. The Internship Committee is responsible for recruiting and assigning interns (usually college students) to work with state representatives and state senators during legislative sessions.
