SALISBURY: Noble Horizons hosts a lecture entitled "The Last Taboo: Incontinence" with Martha Klay, R.N. at 1 p.m. in the Life Long Learning Center in the Wagner Building. Martha Klay has been helping women deal with women’s issues for more than 25 years. Although it is not something women want to think or talk about, incontinence is treatable and curable. Many women suffer in silence and feel as though they must make significant lifestyle changes and become depressed. Instead, it’s time to talk about the problem and the things that can be done. FARMINGTON: Tunxis Community College, Routes 6 & 177 offers a free information session on its Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program from 10 a.m.-noon in Fisher Hall. The nursing process and basic care procedures, basic anatomy and physiology, how to measure vital signs, medical terminology, principles of disease, infection control, and many other issues affecting patient care are covered in the CNA program.
