New Director of Recreation in Winchester
The Town of Winchester has announced the appointment of Alesia Corso as its new Director of Recreation.
Alesia comes to her new position from the Gymnastic Training Center in Simsbury, where she devoted 12 years. Her duties included directing operations for team and grade school programs serving over 1,000 students; supervising the hiring and development of instructors, coaches and managers; office operations; directing summer camp; and coordinating special events with local and national organizations. She was also responsible for scheduling special events and parent volunteers.
Additionally, Alesia has been busy coaching high school gymnastic teams and, for the past 2 1/2 years, has been an active member of the Winsted Recreation Commission.
Her appointment becomes effective February 3. Her annual salary will be $36,381.
