Income Tax Assistance for Seniors
Beginning February 5, free income tax assistance for senior citizens will be available every Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. at the Harwinton Public Library. This assistance is limited to personal income taxes; business returns will not be accepted.
Participants should bring a copy of last year's federal and state returns along with all current documentation of income, including W2’s for earnings, 1099's for interest and dividends, pensions and IRA's, Social Security statements, and any financial information from stockbrokers. Also bring federal and Connecticut 1040's for 2003. (The library has most tax forms available and copies can be made for 15 cents per page.)
