TORRINGTON: UConn Torrington Branch, 855 University Drive hosts "Building Cultural Competency, Providing Services to Latino/asA Case Study" from 9 a.m.-noon; registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with a continental breakfast included. Dr. Julio Morales will explore the goal of improving access and lowering barriers to care, specifically in the Latino/a population. The training will address "cultural competency" and how it applies to various populations. Learn how the concept has been used to provide culturally competent HIV services to Latino/as.
