Join the Canton Land Trust on Saturday, February 15 for its first Full Moon Madness Hike. The Canton Trailblazers will start off at 6:30 p.m. from the home of Charlie DeWeese at 263 Wright Rd. in Canton; the adult hike will begin shortly afterwards. Guided by the full moon, hikers will go to the beaver pond and return to a hot bowl of chili and cornbread. If it is cloudy, luminaries will be lit along the path. RSVP by calling Rhonda at 693-3988.
The ice storm last fall caused much damage on the Land Trust's trails. Now that the weather is getting better and more people are out on the trails, it is requested that any damage be reported to Betty at 693-2074. While on the phone, ask about the upcoming volunteer meeting. The Land Trust will be organizing work parties to get the trails back into shape by the spring.
