A Little Holiday Hope
By Brie Hurd
The holiday unattached individuals all over are not looking forward to—Valentine's Day—is upon us. Welcome, singles. On February 14 we will be reminded how we have failed to find someone mentally compatible with ourselves. And we may even spend the day consoling ourselves by eating chocolates that we've purchased.
Everything around us will be done up with cheery little red hearts and happy flowers, pink streamers and chocolate heart candies—but we really just see another failed attempt to find a mate who truly understands us. Let it be known that because our good friends do understand us and have been here too, we will make it through this holiday together. This chocolate candy before me is for you, my friends. Be well.
