Choose Up!

When severed worlds to mortal conflict rise,
What e'er the provocation or the prize,
Each nation sends its legions forth with pride,
And guarantees that God is on their side.
Yet, if the Lord chooses sides,
That would be odd!
The question still remains:
Is either nation on the side of God?
