President Bush Should Reconsider
By Stanley J. Wosczyna, New Britain
Though President Bush is over-anxious to resolve the Iraqi problem, he should reconsider his motives—especially since Saddam Hussein has not totally ignored the U.S. and UN edict, which is definitely something a powerful Christian ruler in a similar degrading situation would totally ignore.
Mr. Hussein is assured of loyal support from most (of course, not all) Iraqi Muslims, and is confident that, even in defeat, the vast suicidal Muslim warriors will eliminate countless infidels (non-Muslims) for the glory of their God, and thereby enter heaven.
At the present time, the majority of the world's Muslims believe that Americans are anti-Muslim, because of the U.S. action in the terrible family dispute in the Mideast (both the Jews and Arabs are descendants of Abraham).
We all should pray that President Bush in his deliberations will realize he has certainly fulfilled his obligations as President of a free nation, and now recall (after deliberation with Iraqi officials) U.S. combatants that are on alert. This action will result in a minute expense when compared to the alternative, which would entail loss of lives and monetary resources.
Our nation should prove that we are not anti-Muslim.
