Thanks for Hosting Alternate High School

As a resident of Winsted, I wish to openly thank Pastor Charles Lanham and the entire Methodist congregation for five months of their warm hospitality. It should be known by the people of our town that at the beginning of the 2002-03 school year, the children of the Alternate High School had no place to call their own. Realizing the situation that they were facing, Pastor Lanham and Susan Caufield worked so ardently with the Alternate High School principal, Mr. Harrison Baker, to assure that the children would begin their school year on time.
During these many months of frustration, at all times the pastor and his congregation showed the most Christian attitude to all. Their willingness to step up when others deemed the Alternate High School undesirable was truly an inspiration and example for all to follow. As Christ said, "Let the little children come unto Me." That is precisely what these wonderful people did. Once again, for all your kindness, Thank you!
