A Christian Wonders …

Father God, are you crying over the world you created? Are we breaking your heart? In this world you see the root of bitterness and despair in the hearts of your people. In our daily lives there is disquiet, confusion and mistrust. We see the brokenness within families and children's lives being fragmented.
Father God, are you crying over the world you created? Are we breaking your heart? Too many of our politicians, judges and lawyers have double-standards, bending the law to their gain. In the business world there is double-dealing and outrageous fraud. Greed, power, envy, war and death surround us and again there is the slaughter of the innocent.
Father God, are you crying over the world you created? Are we breaking your heart? Even within your Holy Church trust is broken and your people are led astray. The age we live in is filled with licentiousness, adultery and the seduction of the young. History repeats itself again and again. Have we foolish people learned nothing from the past? Are these the days of End Times? Only God knows.
Father God, are you crying over the world you created? Are we breaking your heart? Help us to understand. Help us to take a stand against this onslaught of evil. Only then will our bewilderment and confusion come to an end. I ask you to be merciful to your people, guide them, protect the innocent, and once more give us hope for the future. AMEN.
