Honorable, Integral and Moral

By Kevin Witkos, Canton

Honorable, integral, moral—that's HIM, Louis M. Daniels. I urge you to cast your vote for HIM on November 6.

Every election year, hopeful politicians can be found around town campaigning. One of the favorite spots is the town transfer station. Lou will probably be there. However, this is not unusual for Lou, as he spends many a Saturday sorting bottles for the Canton Jr./Sr. High School Athletic Booster Club. This time-consuming fundraiser for the booster club is their largest, and the gifts that are bestowed upon our schools are unprecedented.

Lou has worked hard to provide programs and recreation to all citizens of Canton as volunteer chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission. He has led the town as selectman for over ten years, and has served on numerous subcommittees. As a town employee for twelve years, I have seen firsthand the wholesome dedication that Lou imparts to the employees and citizens of our town. It is time for someone to step up to the plate and take us were we want to go. Lou Daniels is that person.

Lou is a dedicated family man who has managed to attend all the important functions that his four children participate in. He is diversified in the many organizations that he is a member of, while functioning as part of a senior management team for a Fortune 500 company.

Your decision should be easy—a proven leader, manager and volunteer has pledged his commitment to serve you as First Selectman. Make your commitment and vote for Lou Daniels on November 6.
