When we began this coalition campaign several months ago, one of the first questions we were asked was, "Are you Democrats or Republicans?" Our answer was quick and very simple: We don't believe that this campaign is about Democrats, Republicans or unaffiliated voters! Our campaign is about a small town that is facing significant challenges and has before it tremendous opportunities. Our campaign is about bringing excellent business skills and practices into our governmental process. Our campaign is about reinvigorating our community through leadership, effective communication and encouraging our residents, both young and old, to become part of the town's governmental process.

New Hartford is a wonderful town with a wealth of very talented and energetic people. The Baxter-Jones ticket offers a team of leaders who believe in listening to the thoughts, concerns and ideas of this talented citizenry. We believe in rolling up our sleeves and working hard to accomplish your goals, to meet New Hartford's challenges and to take advantage of the opportunities before us. We believe that it is the responsibility of town leaders to bring townspeople back into our town's government. And we will do that.
