A Man of Intelligence, Honesty and Integrity

I have know Bill Baxter, the candidate for first selectman in New Hartford, for over 30 years. He is a man of intelligence, honesty and integrity. He is hard working and dedicated. He has the management skills and the leadership ability to chart a new vision for New Hartford. Bill is also an excellent communicator and ready listener. He has already served the town on the Board of Selectmen, Board of Education, Regional Refuse District, Village Fire District Commission, and as alternate to the Board of Finance and the Zoning Board of Appeals. He also served as an EMT on the New Hartford Ambulance Service for 15 years, and currently volunteers on the Ski Sundown Ski Patrol.

Bill recognizes the need for long-term strategic planning for the town. Planning sessions are intended in order to bring various town commissions together to address many of the town's important issues, including economic development, education, communication, and expense management, to name a few.

Chris Jones, the candidate for second selectman, will also bring tremendous business experience to the position if elected. He has served on the PTA, Regional Refuse District Board and the Economic Development Commission. Chris and Bill both are genuinely interested in the town's welfare.
