Planning for Torrington's future is more than putting lines on a piece of paper. We must bring business, residents, and government together to provide a thoughtful blueprint of Torrington's needs.
We must be sure to keep the present manufacturing and professional good-paying jobs while at the same time attracting more. It is imperative to establish a new industrial park and commercial center that can take advantage of state grants, special business loans, and tax breaks and allow new commerce to come to Torrington. This will allow Torrington and the downtown area to revitalize in a way that makes good sense for every resident and the future generations.
