Stellar songwriter-guitarist Dave Mallett will perform in concert at the Roaring Brook Nature Center, 70 Gracey Rd. in Canton on Saturday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Dave Mallett hails from a small town in Maine, and in a career that spans four decades, his music has traveled to all corners of the world. His songs have been recorded by more than 150 artists, including Emmylou Harris, Pete Seeger, Alison Kraus, John Denver and the Muppets. His "Garden Song" has been translated into several languages and has become an American folk classic.
He has performed throughout North America and Europe, and was recognized by Bangor Daily News as one of the most memorable "Mainers" of the 20th century, along with Marshall Dodge, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Andrew Wyeth, E.B. White, Stephen King and other notables. Dave Mallett has published two books and has released eleven albums of original songs.
