Norfolk Curling Club, Golf Dr. in Norfolk host its 45th annual CALDER CUP MEN'S BONSPIEL from November 29 through December 2. Play begins on Thursday from 6:30-11:30 p.m., and continues on Friday from 7:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Final matches will be held on Sunday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Rinks from throughout the Northeast will be taking part in the competition. Winsted Recreation Department holds registration for REC HOOPS for boys and girls (grades K-8) on Saturday, December 1 from 9-11 a.m. at the Pearson School. Fee is $25; open to all Winsted residents, families and friends. A supervisor for the girls program is needed, as well as other volunteers.

Canton Parks and Recreation sponsors a trip to Madison Square Garden to see the UCONN HUSKIES vs. St. John’s on Saturday, February 9. The bus leaves Mills Pond Recreation Park at 10 a.m. for the 7 p.m. game, and returns directly following the game. There will be time before the game for people to walk around New York City.
