Boar's Head Festival in Winsted
     First Church of Winsted presents its 11th annual Boar's Head Festival on Saturday, January 5 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and again on Sunday, January 6 at 4 p.m. This musical celebration of Epiphany (Three Kings) has been celebrated by the Christian Church since medieval times.

Nutmeg Ballet's 24th Annual Nutcracker
     Anticipation, excitement and the familiar strains of Tchaikovsky fill the air at Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts in downtown Torrington. Rehearsals are well underway for Nutmeg Ballet's 24th annual Nutcracker performances to be held the first two weekends in December in Torrington and Simsbury. In the evening, the lights come on, props are brought out and the brand new Conservatory studios are filled with dancers striving for the perfection, beauty and grace that define the Nutmeg Ballet. Their performances are sure to delight even the most discriminating audience.

Christmas Soup 2001 in Torrington
     Christmas Soup 2001, the 7th annual benefit for the Community Kitchen of Torrington, takes place on Saturday, December 1 from 1-7 p.m. at the Center for the Dance Arts, 523 Main St. in Torrington. There will be entertainment throughout the day, an hourly raffle beginning at 2 p.m., a silent auction, and refreshments available at a nominal cost.
