Chris Smither at Roaring Brook

New Orleans native Chris Smither will perform a solo concert of live acoustic music at the Roaring Brook Nature Center, 70 Gracey Rd. in Canton on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Chris Smither has been touring internationally in support of his tenth release, Live As I’ll Ever Be. A fitting tribute to more than three decades as a performing songwriter, this live concert CD was recorded at shows in California, Virginia, Massachusetts and Ireland. Tours with Bonnie Raitt and B.B. King and movie soundtrack credits attest to his great talent. Known as "the bluesy philosopher" for his reflective songwriting and moving vocals, Chris Smither is respected as a musician for his unique style that mixes solid rhythmic riffs with an explosive stream of blue guitar notes.
