Support Our Local Nonprofits

How would life be without nonprofits? Do you use the library, a childcare center or educational programs? How about the peace of mind we get from hospitals, mental and physical health agencies, emergency services, visiting nurses and hospice?

We are enriched through the arts, historic societies, preserved land, scholarships and literacy programs. We share with those in crisis who need shelter, food banks, fuel banks and soup kitchens. In this time of giving, give thought to your community of friends and neighbors. Then give a donation to the programs we have all come to take for granted.

These are challenging times presenting us with a great opportunity to rise to the challenge by supporting local organizations doing hard work to enhance our quality of life. Your tax deductible gifts to local nonprofits allow programs to continue. Accept the challenge so that we may all come full circle in our time of accepting and our time of giving.

The Torrington Area Foundation for Public Giving extends heart-felt thanks to all the wonderfully generous people of our region who have given to the nonprofits serving us all and to those who have given to our nonprofit community Foundation.

Jim Garfield is Executive Director and Bonnie Baldwin is Development Director of the Torrington Area Foundation for Public Giving, 94 Church Street, PO Box 1144, Torrington, CT 06790; phone 860-626-1245.
