Thursday, January 17 TORRINGTON : The Depression and Manic Depression Association Support Group of Northwest CT welcomes Elizabeth A. Smith as its guest speaker during its weekly meeting in the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Memorial Building at 7 p.m. Ms. Smith, the President of the Northwest CT Chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, will speak about "Taking Very Good Care of Yourselves." She is an advocate for those with mental illness and their families and serves on several boards as a volunteer in this capacity. Her presentation will be followed by a share and care session for those dealing with depression and manic depression, and those family members and friends who support them in dealing with these illnesses.
