Cost is $5 adults, $3 children (under 10), children under 3 free; proceeds benefit the clubs community service projects.TORRINGTON : The Catholic Inter-Parish Adult Education Initiative hosts a presentation by Dr. Joan Kelly on the historical basis for Lent from 2-4 p.m. in the cafeteria at St. Francis School on Prospect St. Dr. Kelly is the Director of Religious Education for the Diocese of Bridgeport, and a Professor of Religious Studies at Sacred Heart University. She will share how the Season of Lent originated, its meaning, and its connection to the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation). Free; people of all faith traditions are welcome. Refreshments will be served after the program.
