Goshen Players Show How to Succeed …

A wonderfully funny musical comedy will be the Goshen Players' 54th spring production. How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying is the story of a window washer who learns the secret of getting to the top of the company—fast—without using a scaffold. But what happens when all he's gained, including his girl, is about to be lost? To find out his secret and the surprising outcome, come to the Old Town Hall at the junction of Routes 4 & 63 in Goshen on any of this month’s show dates.

Robert Bongiolatti is Finch, the brash young upstart who gets his start with the company by climbing in the window. Opposite him is the lovely Christina Church as Rosemary, a young businesswoman who has some goals of her own. Bud, the boss' nephew and Finch's nemesis, is played by Matt Szydlo. Barbara Haggerty is Hedy LaRue, a beautiful secretary whose shorthand is less than speedy. Lynn Wilson plays Smitty and Jeff Savage is JB Biggley, the president of the company. Other employees of the company are Judie Juliano, D.J. Murphy, Lea Dmytryck, Bob Collins, Wolfgang Kesselring, Fred Barker, Phil Juliano, Walter (Cookie) Joray, Bob Skinner, Nick Kreonides, Tammy Diehl, Beth Steinberg, Leo Martigneni, Caitlyn Reynolds, Suzette Barker, Maureen Donahue, Liz Oneglia, Joanne Bligh, Carol Sherwood and Roberta Cofill.

With Maurice Steinberg as music director, the show features wonderful music, including the rousing "Brotherhood of Man" and the local favorites "Coffee Break" and "A Secretary Is Not a Toy." "I Believe in You" is also a hit.

Performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays, April 5-6 and April 12-13, and Thursday through Saturday, April 18-20 at 8 p.m. Matinees will be held on Sundays, April 7 and April 14 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10, with discounts given to seniors and children (under 12) at the matinees; for more info or to order tickets, call 860-491-2127.
