Thanks for Supporting "Peace Quzzle" Artists

By Frances Clem, Bantam

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for the support they showed to me and my students at our third annual "Young Artists Gallery" on Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24.

Hundreds of family members, friends, and artists from the Litchfield area and beyond came to view our art. The interactive exhibits were enjoyed by young and old alike, including our giant "Peace Quzzle," which made its New England debut before the coming exchange with our partners for the Global Art Project 2002. My young artists want you all to know how very proud and excited they are about their work and how much your praise and encouragement means to them. We are energized by a swell of creative energy which will no doubt produce many more amazing artworks!

Most importantly, thanks to my family: my husband, Stuart; and Chris, Mary Erin and son-in-law Ben. I could not have accomplished this show without you. Thanks to Doug Dempsey and White Light, Inc. for their amazing photography for our "Peace Quzzle" poster. A big thank you to Janet and Emma Hauer for once again coordinating and serving the refreshments, and to everyone who provided delicious treats. Thanks also to Donna and Jennifer Cattey, and Mary Ellen and Michael McCabe, who helped with the cleanup.

We had lots of fun sharing our art with you, and we are grateful for your support.
