FALLS VILLAGE

: The Ladies Auxiliary of the Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department hosts a Ham Dinner at 6 p.m. Menu for the buffet includes ham with potatoes and carrots, salad, and baked pie and ice cream; take-out will also be available. Tickets are $8 adults, $5 children (ages 5-12), under 5 free, and are available at Culligan Water on Beebe Hill Rd. or from Auxiliary members. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Edward McGuire Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps pay tuition for post-secondary education for children of the fire department, auxiliary, and ambulance service members. NEW HARTFORD

: A Community Clothing Swap will be held at North Congregational Church from 9 a.m.-noon. Bring your gently used clothing and shoes to trade for items swapped in by others. : Immaculate Conception Parish holds its 13th annual Luncheon for Seniors and their Pastors from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the North Congregational Church Hall, 17 Church St. The event is sponsored by the Social Concerns Committee, New Hartford Council of Catholic Women and Women’s Guild. A variety of homemade soups and sandwiches will be served, and the Women’s Guild will provide a delicious dessert bar. Sister Ann from Trinita, a retreat Center in New Hartford, and Mary Kent will lead a sing-along on their guitars. SALISBURY

: Habitat for Humanity, Northwest CT Affiliate dedicates a newly constructed home on Selleck Hill (1.3 miles from intersection with Lincoln City Rd.) at 3 p.m. The public is invited to the dedication and open house tour. Please join the Lefferts family and Habitat for the festivities; refreshments will be served. The celebration is also a "thank you" to all who helped make this home possible: land was donated by Mrs. Duncan Ellsworth and construction materials by area businesses; volunteers gave generously of their time, skills and expertise; and financial contributions were made to the group’s appeals. The main topic of discussion will be membership and planning for the upcoming year’s programs; bring possible program ideas and names of potential speakers. : Tunxis Community College at Routes 6 & 177 invites those interested in enrolling in courses to an Open House from 4-7 p.m. Current Tunxis students who have not selected a major are also welcome to attend. Tour the campus on the half-hour; learn about admissions and financial aid; meet faculty from all degree programs; visit classrooms; and view graphics, fine arts, photography, computer and technology labs. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about various programs, including online learning, continuing education, and transfer programs. You’ll also be able to meet staff from various departments, including career development and job placement, tutoring, student activities, counseling, disability resources, health services, library services, on-campus childcare, and more. : Church Women United sponsor a luncheon to celebrate May Friendship Day at noon in the Parish House of Christ Church Episcopal, 9 South Main St. May Friendship Day is an annual event that is observed by Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox and other Christian women in a common worship experience for the purpose of building and strengthening friendly relations within the community. The theme for this year’s service is "Sharing Our Stories, Healing Our Hearts, Celebrating God’s Love." Women of all faiths are invited to attend.
