In editing Christine Rodger’s article "Thank You to Dan Rather," which appeared in last week’s paper, we inadvertently changed the sense of one of her statements. Ms. Rodgers had said that: "… unfortunately, this abhorrent crime of pedophilia crosses over all churches, synagogues and public institutions." More ... This is where I came in: The Planning and Zoning Commission in New Hartford was giving one of my clients, Bakersville Lumber & Construction Co., a hard time over their sand and gravel operations in Bakerville. One of the neighbors commented at a P&Z meeting that: "I don't use any sand and gravel." Well, the blunt truth is that each one of us accounts for several tons of it per year. Having done that, and having read the strong slander against Bible scholars contained in the recommended website and hearing their vague generalization of the King James Only position, I felt it necessary to write a response articulating my position for all who are interested.
