: CT Young Insurance Professionals (CTYIP) hold their Industry Partners Breakfast and Annual Sponsor Appreciation Program at 8 a.m. at the Avon Old Farms Inn. Guest speaker will be Susan F. Cogswell, who has served as commissioner of Connecticut’s Insurance Department since 2000; she is the first female commissioner in the history of the Insurance Department, which was established in 1865. CTYIP is an organization dedicated to the professional and personal growth of newcomers to the insurance industry; it is an affiliate of PIACT, a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
