V2V Bike Ride for Arthritis Foundation

Entries are now being accepted for the V2V bike ride on Sunday, July 21 to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. Participating cyclists, their bikes and gear will be transported by bus from Vernon, CT to Vernon, VT. Participants then have the choice of biking an 80- or 100-mile course back to Connecticut. Event organizers are expecting over 200 riders, rain or shine. Pre-registration is required; fee is $75, with a $10 discount if received before July 15.

The Arthritis Foundation, working with Vernon Cycle, successfully resurrected V2V last year. In addition to the great exercise, the ride is known for its beautiful scenery and fun atmosphere. Cyclists are provided with transportation and T-shirts; a light breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided throughout the day. The ride culminates with food, beverage, music, prizes and fun to celebrate the cyclists' efforts.

The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and other related diseases. The Southern New England Chapter provides services for Connecticut and Rhode Island. For more info or to register for the V2V bike ride, call Deborah Poudrier at 800-541-8350.
