Roller Hockey Camp for Kids

Northwest YMCA offers Roller Hockey Camp for children (ages 7-13) on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-noon at the Litchfield Firehouse in Litchfield on July 22-26; at Pearson School in Winsted on July 29-August 2; and at the Pavilion in Canaan on August 5-9. The main focus will be on skating technique, individual and team drills, overall in-line hockey rules, and 5-on-5 games; a non-contact style of in-line hockey will be taught. At the end of each session, participants will receive a certificate of achievement and a YMCA roller hockey jersey along with membership in USA Hockey. Instructors are John Calder and Mike Simon; both are CPR and First Aid certified.
