Pewter Ornaments Depicting Harwinton Sign for Sale

The Harwinton Woman's Club is selling pewter ornaments depicting the Harwinton green's road sign. The ornament, designed by Kim Wysocki, is especially popular as it has the flag in the background and is encircled with the words "Peace on Earth" and the year 2001. The sign post, which has been on the green for many years, points the directions to Burlington, Hartford, Bakersville, Torringford, Torrington, Litchfield, Thomaston and Plymouth.

The pewter ornaments were made by the Woodbury Pewter Company. The Harwinton Woman's Club will use the proceeds to fund scholarships and other civic activities. Ornaments, which cost $7 each, may be ordered from any member or by calling Patricia Green at 860-485-1530.
