Kent Library Association Thanks Local Merchants

The Kent Library Association wishes to thank all the Kent businesses which have so generously contributed through the newly formed "Business Membership" category. This allows merchants to support the Library with donations and/or services valued at $100 or more annually, and be acknowledged. We are grateful to the twenty-two merchants who have responded to our membership appeal. As promised, their names are now displayed in the entrance to the Library. If you are a Kent merchant, will you consider adding your name to this growing list?

About half of the operating expenses of the Kent Memorial Library are covered by an annual grant from the Town. The remaining funds are raised through membership contributions, book sales, grants and fundraisers. Our recent fundraisers have been the House Tour in mid-June and the ongoing antique car raffle. And, of course, the Summer Book Sale continues through Columbus Day weekend.

Contributions to the Library are always greatly appreciated. The membership categories are: $15 Senior, $25 Individual, $50 Family, $100 Supporting, $100 Business, $250 Contributing, and $500 Benefactor. Please consider joining if you have not already done so.
